CORPORATE WORSHIP RESUMES AT NORTHWAY

Posted by Dr. Bill Blanchard on

Celebrating Mother’s Day on May 10th will be extra special this year, because it will be our first corporate worship service on campus in nine weeks, but even then it will be a scaled back morning together.  For instance, we will not be having our small group Bible studies during the Sunday School hour, nor will we be having children’s church or preschool activities in small rooms.  We will simply be having a worship service at the 10:30 hour.  Preschoolers may be cared for by their parents in the safely spaced seating throughout our worship center, but parents may also choose to care for their babies and young children in the back of our worship center that will be reserved exclusively for them.  We expect to continue this arrangement through the rest of May, and then we’ll reevaluate how to proceed going forward into the future.

I know that all of us are looking forward to fellowshipping and worshipping together again, but please allow me to offer a few words of caution, especially for our elderly and those who may be suffering from some type of underlying medical condition.  We will still be providing a live stream experience of our worship services online on Facebook, and we would encourage you to take advantage of that ministry opportunity before putting yourself and others at risk.

Then, the Lord willing, on the following Sunday, May 17th, we plan to have a special time together as we open up our worship service that morning for you to share what has taken place in your life over the course of the last two months of this pandemic—Lessons you have learned from God’s Word, what you have done with your time, decisions you have made, and about your thoughts, struggles, and prayer life.  And, kids, we’d like to hear from you as well!  It will be a special time of testimony that will bless and edify others, and honor the Lord too!

Devotedly your pastor,

Bill Blanchard
