TARGET DATE TO RE-OPEN

Posted by Dr. Bill Blanchard on

We hope and pray that our Governor will allow our “state of health emergency” to expire on Friday, June 12th.  If so, we plan to re-open for corporate worship at 10:30 a.m. on campus on Sunday morning, June 14th, with a modified format (no small group activities, no Sunday School, no Children’s Church).  Although I plan to preach on June 14th, my message will be brief, because we want this worship service to be a time when our people will be able to share testimonies of what they have experienced during this pandemic, kids too.

The members of our custodial teams plan to meet on the evening of June 1st to clean and sanitize our facilities, and hand sanitizers and masks will also be made available when we re-convene for those who wish to use them.  Furthermore, our seating will be re-arranged in clusters throughout our worship center so that families can sit together and yet be spaced safely apart from others, and the chairs can also be moved about for additional accommodations.

As you can imagine, all of these plans are still tentative, but we want you to know about the possibility of this new target date.  If you have any personal health concerns, however, please remain in your respective homes for the immediate future and continue to enjoy our Live Streaming broadcasts on FaceBook.

Speaking of Live Streaming, where would we be without David Adams and Drew Neal?  In a matter of weeks, they have installed, learned how to use, and equipped others to operate our new equipment so well, and the number of “views” on FB is increasing.  And by the way, are not our musicians and vocalists doing such a great job too?  All throughout this pandemic, they have been playing and singing faithfully and well, week after week.  Please be sure to pray for them and offer a word of gratitude for their wonderful ministry among us.

Devotedly your pastor,

Bill Blanchard
