Sue Long

Children's Director and Executive Assistant: Sue Long

It was Sue and Sammy, her husband of 47 years, who had the vision of starting NCC! They had helped plant a church before and wanted to do it again, if Bill would be the pastor! So NCC was launched and as it has developed, Sue and Sammy have played a vital role in making it all happen. They love the Lord and love His church.

Sue is a “worker bee.” She has taught children in Sunday School for over forty years, and has served in a variety of other ways through the years, currently teaching 4-5 year olds in Sunday morning Bible Study, as well as directing Children’s church. For over four years she has been facilitating a weekly women’s Bible study in her home. God has also provided opportunities for service on multiple mission trips abroad, the most recent involving eight trips to the bush in Africa to share the gospel with an unreached people group. She has had a passion to see people know Jesus, to serve Him, and to hunger and thirst after righteousness.

Sue sees the big picture and is able to manage so capably on many fronts at the same time. So it was natural to tap her for Administration!

Her educational experiences include a B.S. in Elementary Education, M.Ed in Early Childhood Education, and an Ed.Sp. in Early Childhood Education, all from Valdosta State College. She is a retired Kindergarten teacher, having taught for 20 years in the Valdosta School System. Sue and Sammy have a daughter, Laura, and husband, Michael, and three granddaughters.
